Multi Injection Chamber (MIC)

Eliminate blockages. Improve runnability.

No more runnability and yield issues, or problems with energy consumption - improve your Cleaner plant operations immediately by upgrading your cleaner cones with this new, plug-avoiding chamber design.

In order to meet the demands of the cleaner plant market, ANDRITZ has created a patented Multi Injection Chamber (MIC). In addition to the MIC allowing up to 200% larger debris to be rejected, this new reject dilution chamber design addresses many of the common problems that jeopardize daily operations — runnability issues, yield issues, and energy consumption.

This revolutionary reject dilution chamber design eliminates blockages by removing potential plug points from the chamber. The reject area is dramatically larger. The reject outlet is connected at a 60-degree angle, instead of the severe 90-degree angle found in other designs, and the reject dilution is performed under the cone, instead of inside, leaving the vortex inside the cone undisturbed.

New Reject chamber design feautures
  • 200% larger debris
  • 60-degree reject outlet
  • Reject dilution performed under the cone, instead of inside it
Benefits
  • Improved runnability
  • Improved yield
  • Energy-efficient design
  • Requires less dilution water than competitors
  • The ability to operate at higher consistencies
